.DISCUSSION... Issued at 100 PM CDT Sun Sep 14 2025

Tonight and Tomorrow... Not much to talk about in the near term period. Quiet weather conditions will persist across our forecast area later tonight with overnight lows dropping into the upper 60s/lower 70s areawide. Hot and dry conditions will persist heading into Monday with RHs dropping to around 30-40% across our CWA. Fire wx concerns will remain low as winds remain light. Nevertheless, RH values will continued to be monitored as we start off the new work week. Expect afternoon highs to peak into the low to mid 90s across our forecast area. /CR/

Monday Night through Saturday...The overall troughing pattern will pretty much persist across the region during the forecast period. Ridging aloft will quickly build east into and through the Lower Mississippi River Valley Thursday. However by late Friday into Saturday, troughing from the west will re-assert itself across the region. High pressure at the surface wedged into the region from the northeast, will continue to promote quiet and continued hot conditions across the forecast area through much of the work week. A boundary will approach from the west late on Friday, but currently it`s advertised to essentially stall and washout on Saturday just west of the CWA. Still, this boundary will bring some rain chances to mainly western portions of the forecast area late in the forecast period. /19/
