A mid to upper level area of high pressure will begin to develop
Tuesday across West Texas building into the Great Plains Wednesday
and the Northern Mid-West by the end of the work week. Towards the
end of the workweek and into this weekend, a few weak plumes of
positive vorticity advection will move into South Texas riding the
eastern periphery of the ridge. This will interact with sufficient
moisture in the area to promote low to medium (25-60%) chances for
showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday and low (20-30%)
chances this weekend. With the northeast flow aloft courtesy of the
ridge, seasonal temperatures are expected throughout the week except
for tomorrow night, where the Victoria Crossroads will enjoy
pleasant overnight lows about 5 degrees below normal.

VFR conditions prevail through the TAF period. A morning mid-level
cloud deck along the Rio Grande continues to break up as day time
heating gets going. Winds will primarily be out of the east at
10-15 kts this afternoon before becoming light and variable
overnight.

A gentle to moderate breeze is expected to persist this week across
the Gulf waters with medium to high (40-75%) chances for showers and
thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. As we head into Friday and
this weekend, rain chances will drop to lower (20-40%) levels.
