- After one more day of mild temperatures, we will start to see temperatures trend upwards for the second half of the week and into the weekend. Some might even approach the low 90s Friday/Saturday.

Weak wave will move into the area today, which will be slow to move out, sticking around through part of Wednesday. At the same time, we will start to see a ridge build over the Central Plains, which will help kick the wave out on Wednesday. As the wave moves in today, the best moisture transport will be seen north and west of the area, which should limit our precipitation chances. Although, it will be close enough that we cannot completely rule out a shower or two in our far northwest, roughly along/north of a line from Cedar Rapids to Dubuque IA.
