.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1236 PM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
Deep South Texas will remain in a somewhat unsettled weather pattern through the end of the week, as the region remains under the influence of a weak stationary boundary and humid airmass. As weak disturbances traversing the periphery of high pressure aloft interact with these ingredients, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected each day. The NBM continues to overdo PoPs, and have opted to lower them to around 20-50% for this afternoon through Friday afternoon. In general, the best timing for any thunderstorm development will coincide with daytime heating - late morning into the afternoon hours - but given the set up, isolated to scattered showers may develop during the pre dawn hours as well. Pockets of brief heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out with any robust showers or thunderstorms. Rain chances look to decrease over the weekend as subsidence increases with building high pressure.
Otherwise, expect temperatures to remain near normal through next week with highs in the low to mid 90s. Heat index values are expected to range from around 100-105 degrees each afternoon.

.AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1236 PM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
VFR will prevail through the forecast period at all TAF sites. However, brief periods of MVFR ceilings/visibility, gusty winds, lightning and/or brief heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out this afternoon as isolated to scattered convection develops. Confidence on the exact location and timing is low, but have opted to include VCSH/VCTS for this afternoon. Amendments may be needed for any isolated thunderstorms that develop near the terminals.

.MARINE... Issued at 1236 PM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
Generally favorable marine conditions will prevail with light to moderate easterly winds and low to moderate seas. Low to medium rain chances continue through the end of the week over the Gulf waters and Laguna Madre. Locally enhanced winds and seas are likely within any showers and thunderstorms.
