.LONG TERM... (Thursday through Tuesday) Issued at 1247 AM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
Remarkably steady state weather forecast across West Central Texas through the upcoming weekend and into early next week. Upper level ridge centered over the Southern Rockies will expand across much of the central portions of the country by the weekend. An upper trough will eventually move into the central and northern Rockies for next week, but all the ridge axis does it shifts its orientation to a southwest-northeast alignment and remain in place over Texas. Thus, a fairly quiet pattern will hold.
Temperature wise, the model blends from the NBM show high temperatures staying within a 3 degree range for both high and lows across most of the area between Thursday and next Tuesday.
