.KEY MESSAGES...
- Tranquil weather conditions will continue through the next 7 days. Cool mornings will give way to afternoon temperatures in the 80s and 90s.

.SHORT TERM... /Issued 1219 AM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025/ /Through Tuesday Night/
A relatively dry airmass will be in place across North and Central Texas through Tuesday thanks to a large area of high pressure situated across The Great Lakes. Given the clockwise circulation around the high, our winds across North and Central Texas will remain out of the east/southeast, generally below 10 mph.
The dry airmass, light winds and mostly clear skies will lead to early morning temperatures in the 60s across much of the region today. By Tuesday morning, cooler conditions can be expected with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to around 62 degrees.
With plenty of sunshine this afternoon, temperatures will climb into the 80s across the region with no precipitation in the forecast. Slightly warmer temperatures are expected on Tuesday as our airmass begins to modify in response to increasing mid-level heights. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s with a few readings in the 90s in the Eastland/Graham area.

.LONG TERM... /Issued 1219 AM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025/ /Wednesday Onward/
Precipitation-free conditions will persist through the rest of the week as a mid-level area of high pressure, currently in northern Mexico, expands northward. The center of the high will be atop West Texas on Wednesday, gradually shifting east through the rest of the week. This will translate to a warming trend through the rest of the week with lower to mid 90s making it back to the forecast Wednesday onward.
Compared to normal temperatures, North Texas will be between 4-8 degrees above normal each afternoon. Meanwhile, Central Texas can expect temperatures between 1-3 degrees above normal.

.AVIATION... /NEW/ /12z TAFs/
No significant weather is expected through the next 30 hours at any of the North or Central Texas TAF sites.
Northerly winds continue at all TAF sites this early Monday morning, however, expect winds to gradually veer through the day. By this afternoon, expect easterly to southeasterly winds below 10 kts.
Mid-level clouds have developed near and southwest of KACT. The clouds are expected to remain southwest of the airfield, minimizing any potential impact to KACT. These clouds will slowly shift west and erode closer to sunrise. Once the clouds erode, expect clear skies through tonight at all TAF sites.
