.LONG TERM... /Issued 1226 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025/ /Wednesday through Next Weekend/

Not much has changed in the long-term period as warmer and dry weather prevails the rest of the week and most likely into the weekend. The upper level ridge will remain planted over the Southern Plains shunting down any decent rain chances and keeping the sky conditions mostly sunny. The combination of southerly winds in the lower levels and only a few clouds will result in afternoon highs in the 90s region wide through the weekend. It will also keep the overnight lows in the mid/upper 60s to low 70s.
