.DISCUSSION... Issued at 108 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

Have low to moderate rain chances (30-50%) for the remainder of today across South Texas as the frontal boundary is stalled south of our region near the TX/Mexico border and is expected to linger for much of the week (through at least Wednesday). Will maintain low chances (30% or less) Tuesday and Wednesday as drier air infiltrates the mid to lower levels and a mid-level high moves over Texas. Thursday through Monday, the NBM has low to moderate chances across southern portions of our CWA as several pulses of PVA round the periphery of the ridge. The NBM is likely high- biased based on recent rainfall and the pulses look weak at this point so have made adjustments using HREF/NBM and some manual edits to cap PoPs to a low (~30-40%) chance.

Highs today and Tuesday will range from the mid 80s along the coast to the mid 90s over the Coastal Plains and Brush Country. The remainder of the period, expect upper 80s to around 100 each afternoon. Lows for the first part of the week will be around the mid 60s north to around 80 along the coast. Increasing to the 70-80 degree range for the remainder of the period.

.AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 108 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

Reduced rain chances (30% or less) for showers/storms remain in the forecast this afternoon as drier air moves into the region. Mainly expecting VFR conditions with periods of MVFR possible accompanying any showers/storms along with a low chance (10-20%) for patchy fog at ALI/CRP/VCT Tuesday morning.

.MARINE... Issued at 108 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

A gentle to moderate (BF 3-4) easterly breeze will persist through the end of the week. Elevated rain chances Monday and Tuesday will decrease Wednesday before increasing back to medium levels Thursday and Friday across the Gulf waters.
