.KEY MESSAGES...
Dry and seasonable weather continues...
&&
.SHORT TERM (THROUGH SUNDAY)...
Our area remains under upper level ridging throughout the
short term. This means seasonable highs in the low 90s to upper
80s and low temperatures in the 60s. With much less humidity
with dewpoints remaining in the 50s and even some 40s showing up
compared to the 60s and mid 70s dewpoints we felt this past
week. It certainly will feel very fall like and a nice
refreshing break from this past heat.

.LONG TERM (SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY)...
Global models continue to insist on a weak disturbance moving
aloft from the troughing located out near the desert Southwest
and trying to cross our area by Monday afternoon/evening. The
main impact this disturbance will have for our area is just
some increasing mid to high level clouds. Models suggest that
the upper level ridging should weaken before restrengthening
itself after the disturbance over our area moves off towards
the east. Temperatures could be a touch cooler for Monday due to
the increased cloud cover. Otherwise expect a continued dry and
seasonable weather pattern to continue with highs in the low to
mid 90s and lows in the 60s as we flip the calendar into
October.

.AVIATION (12Z SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY)...
The small patch of MVFR cigs models depicted for DRT ended up
being just west of SAT/SSF instead. A couple hours of MVFR cigs
could form through 14Z, but the rest of the periods should be
free of low clouds. Winds will likely be light and variable in
the predawn to late morning and again late tonight. Midday mixed
winds will be around 10 knots out of the SE at DRT and at
around 7 knots out of E around SAT/SSF and out of the NE over
AUS.
