.SHORT TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... Issued at 1019 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025
Remnant low level moisture will allow for some fog potential tonight under mostly clear skies. Dense fog will be possible, with the greatest potential west of Highway 65. Otherwise, conditions will remain quiet through the short term.
Look for highs in the mid to upper 70s this afternoon and around 80 Friday. Lows tonight will be in the 50s.

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/... Issued at 1019 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025
The area will come under the influence of a strong upper ridge later this week into or through all of next week. This will lead to temperatures rising to above normal values with highs in the low to mid 80s starting Saturday, along with dry weather. This coincides with the CPC 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks which favor above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SATURDAY/... Issued at 640 PM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025
A surface high pressure system will traverse the area through the TAF period, bringing calm, variable winds and clear skies. There is the potential for fog between 09-13Z at all TAF sites. There is some uncertainty in just how widespread and dense the fog becomes as the balance between cooling temperatures, calm winds, and drier air from the high pressure system is tough to discern at this time. Observations have been running drier than forecast, but guidance suggests at least patchy fog with visibility below 3 miles at times. Climatologically speaking, BBG has the best chance of seeing denser fog below 1 mile, so have included a TEMPO group for them, though would not be surprised to see some IFR visibilities at times at SGF and JLN.
